And by default, all the column width in the pdf document is based on total width of the grid and number of columns in the grid. The width is calculated based on the width of the grid and number of columns in the grid and the same width(calculated) is applied to each columns of the grid. This is the default behavior of grid exporting.
This is pretty much a useless rendering of a PDF based upon end-users expectations. A PDF has the purpose to be easy to Print and difficult to change. I could never expect an end users to take a equal column PDF to a meeting or to submit it in a Grant proposal.
Hopefully you will reconsider your PDF output. Or make it easier to wire in an external library.
Many of the documents that I need to produce need to meet Governmental specifications.
