Need to fix the psuedo element issue is another way

Since psuedo element support is not added in IE. So it throws the syntax error in getItems() method in multiselect. Need to provide alternate solution to peuedo element. Please find the below link https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/platform/issues/16104908/
