Unit Customization for Ruler in Document Editor

We have noticed that users generally prefer ruler measurements in units like centimeters (cm) or inches, rather than pixels, which is more of a developer-specific metric. Users typically expect document editing tools to reflect real-world measurements, making the current pixel-based system less intuitive for them. This feature seems essential, as we have seen numerous tickets requesting support for different ruler measurement units across various document editors. Some of these requests date back as far as 2020, indicating a longstanding need.

While users are not necessarily looking for new features immediately, they are asking for greater customizability in the existing editor, particularly with regard to measurement units. We hope that this feature can be prioritized for implementation in the near future, allowing us to integrate it as soon as it's available.
