Unexpected change event of DropDownList when destroying components

An unexpected change event is being created by the dropDownList, when the component gets destroyed.

This has been observed when the dropDownList is being hosted by a different component, which is then being destroyed. As far as we've seen, the event is being called by the clearAll method

which is being called by the hidePopup method.
This happens because the value of the inputElement is not being set

even if a value has been selected in the affected dropDownList.
