Start and end date not validated when editing record by event

The user attempted to edit the record, but the custom columns for actual start and end values were changed by cell edit. When the actionBegin event triggers before save, the actual start and end values update the start and end dates, but the parent record values do not change. We have attached a video reference and sample for your review.
