Provide customization options to bar items

As of now, bar items does not have any option customize their appearance. i.e., we could not change the appearance factors such as borders and corners. Hence bar items are looks like with default appearance and it seems that very odd in some visual styles. For the better visualization of bar items, we need to provide the support to customize the bar items using border color, border width, corner radius etc.,
