SelectionBackground Property not working

Hi, when SelectionMode is Range, I want to customize the color of the SelectionBackground as demonstrated in the guide. However, for me setting the SelectionMode doesn't do anything and the SelectionBackground will always be a black-tint on the BackgroundColor. Please help confirm the property works or suggest workarounds, thanks. 

(Windows, on the 25.1.35 version of Syncfusion)
