DropdownList with "EnableVirtualization" and "GroupBy" Features Not Setting Initial Value

  • If the DropdownList is configured with both the "EnableVirtualization" and "GroupBy" features, the initial value is not set in the DropdownList and the "ValueChanged" event is triggered with a null value.
  • It is important to note that this issue only occurs when the initial value is set from beyond the first group in the datasource. For example, if the datasource has 5 groups and the initial value is present in any group other than the first, the value will not be set correctly.

  1.   Run the sample.
  2. see the Dropdown value.

Expected Output: The value needs to be set to the component.

Current Output: The value not set to the component.
