Grid Validation deselect row

I'm facing a situation where I'm working with a grid using the GridEditSettings template and the DataAnnotationsValidator. The problem arises when I select an item in the grid and then try to add a new one. If the data is invalid and I click 'OK,' the grid validates the data, deselects the initially selected row, and triggers the RowDeselected event.

Why grid deselect row after validation?
