Greetings,

This is regarding the Month view of the Scheduler: Multiple events on a given day hides some events until certain text is clicked to reveal them. The text may say something like "+1 more" for example. I have attached two screenshots of this feature for clarity. I have observed several related issues that I believe likely fail WCAG criterion 4.1.2 and are reproducible on your demo pages:

  • The "+1 more" text acts like a button that opens a popup, but this information is not announced to assistive technologies like screen readers.
  • The popup itself behaves similar to a dialog so I think it might be beneficial if the popup had the additional semantics of a dialog, including at least a role attribute and a label.
  • Additionally, the event entries in this popup do not announce as buttons despite acting like one (they can open another popup dialog and behave similar to other events that are already marked up as buttons elsewhere in the interface.

I think all of these issues can be resolved with additional role and aria attributes. If you have any questions or require further information, please let me know.

Thank you!

Ken Watson
