SfGantt - Improve Error Handling if GanttTaskFields.ParentId is Omitted

If the ParentId property of GanttTaskFields is omitted from the SfGantt definition (as in the following screenshot), I have observed that the unintuitive error of   

System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added.

is raised.  I had a fairly complex Gantt chart definition and inadvertently removed the ParentId definition while testing something else and it took me quite a while to work out what the problem was since the error was not self-evident.  

If the ParentId is a compulsory field, could we get an error that states it is required, or even better allow the case where ParentId is not provided if we just want a flat list of tasks?
