Added symbols don't get correctly selected in MultipleSelect mode in Diagram

When diagram component has the DiagramTools.MultipleSelect in use, symbols added from palette don't get correctly selected. In the DiagramTools.SingleSelect, behavior seems correct. Issue can be seen in this demo: https://stackblitz.com/edit/3ufavf and in the attached video. The video demonstrates how in the MultipleSelect mode, the added elements sometimes don't appear selected at all and sometimes appear selected but the handles to resize and rotate don't really work. In the end of the video, SingleSelect mode is shown where behavior is correct.
