Enabling/disabling toolbar button creates infinite DIV elements in the DOM

I have a splitbutton in my toolbar. I have found that each time the button is enabled or disabled, a new HTML DIV element is created in the DOM. I have created a Stackblitz to recreate the issue here:

When you run the stackblitz in Google Chrome, right click on the toolbar and select "Inspect" to view the DOM in the developer console. When you look at the DOM, you'll see that each time the button is enabled/disabled, a new DIV element gets appended to the DOM.
