Cross button not clickable sometimes when we resize the thumbnail container

While viewing a pdf when we open and resize a thumbnail panel by sliding the resizer. Sometimes the cross button is not clickable. That usually happens when we quickly slide the resizer and the main container  doesn't resize properly and the thumbnail window overlaps the main container as you can see in the picture.
