Incorrect Filter Behavior in Excel Filter Operator

In Excel filtering, when I select the "Starts with" option and type 'D', it should display all countries that start with 'D'. However, it's also showing Switzerland, which doesn't meet this criterion. Similarly, if I choose the "Ends with" option, it should show me all countries ending with 'D', but it's also listing countries containing the letter "D". It appears to be working based on the "Contains" operator rather than the selected filter operator. There's a need to align the Excel filter to filter data as per the selected filter operator.
