Syntax highlighting colour of commented out XML line leaks into next line

While editing the demo sample products for XML, I find that the context menu and the menu bar allow me to comment out a line of XML with e.g.

but that the syntax highlighting colour applied to the comment (e.g. green) then leaks in the end tag on the next line although that is not inside of the comment and should have normal XML element/tag syntax (blue for markup, red for name).
