Clear button not working properly

When there is only one item and the clear button is clicked, when leaving the field without selecting any other value, the previous value returns. This can be seen in the DEMO application -> AutoComplete -> Getting Started -> the Anne Dodsworth value is selected, if you click on the clear button and then press a TAB or click on another field, the Anne Dodsworth value returns to the cleared field.
