Using Backspace in SfMaskedEdit is not working correctly - UWP

I use SfMaskedEdit as described in the following picture. When I set the crusor to the last character in the element and want to delete the text with the backspace key on my keyboard, sometimes the deletion of the characters stops after a few characters. However, I can't find a pattern of when this happens.
