Background of selectedItem won't change upon selection

Hello,

I have the following setup:

<sf:SfListView ItemsSource="{Binding Items}"
ItemSize="120"
SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedItem}"
SelectionBackground="#2596be"
SelectionGesture="Tap"
SelectionMode="Single">
<sf:SfListView.ItemTemplate>
<DataTemplate>
 //custom stuff
</DataTemplate>
</sf:SfListView>
When selecting an item the background color won't change. 
I am using VisualStudio Community 2022 V 17.3.3

Syncfusion version 20.2.50
