Drag and Drop lisbox on mobile browser

This topic has been covered before, but I believe I've found the "real" issue and am hoping for a solution.  Drag and Drop works on Desktop.  It work on Mobile....so long as you're on a phone and the website detects a "mobile" browser.  


On an IPAD, the website is displayed in "Desktop" mode and the control is also in desktop mode.  So when you try to drag and drop it starts do drag then gets confused and things you're trying to scroll.  I didn't attach a sample project, you can simply view the demo for listbox drag and drop on an IPAD and this in action.


My question is: Is there a way to force a component to display in "mobile" mode?
