Optimize single letter search in metro studio

Sometimes there just isn't a good icon, so I like to use a single letter, in this case, I'd like to use the letter "N", so I open MetroStudio 5 and type "n" into the search box, expecting to get a list of alphabet letters maybe, but the program locks up tight and never recovers. I've tried these several different ways, and it always fails.

I know single-character searches are messy, so there should probably be a trap on that search to detect a single-letter or number search, and then provide useful suggestions. Technically, you could probably also put a 3-character minimum on the search, as well. Still, then you'd be depriving us an opportunity to get what we need quickly and easily, so you might add some shortcut to get to letters and numbers, maybe?

Otherwise, I love this app and have been using it for years!

Another requirement is to provide letters in the metro studio icons.
