Provide built-in date range filtering for finding all records where column is between two dates

Hello,

Are there plans to provide built-in date range filtering options for data grid date columns? We have implemented the work arounds outlined by SF to override the popup filter box and query, but it feels very hacky and clunky.

We end up having to use this workaround on all of our grids, which is causing maintenance issues. 

Is there a plan to incorporate this feature directly? Having the built in Filtering for dates use Less than or greater than is limted.
