Return list of appointments for selected date (actual appointment and instance of recursive)

Forum entries How to find an instance of a recursive meeting on a future date and DoubleTap on a recursive appointment does not return a correct version of the appointment created from lead to the question to provide a method that returns actual appointments created for that date and instances of recursive appointments that fall on that date.

Secondly if that appointment is made from a custom model containing additional fields to the appointment object, these values need to be filled in the instances of a recursive appointment.
