Hierarchy grid - can't disable hovering in child grid

I am using the details template feature of the DataGrid to display parent-child relation data in a hierarchy structure. I have the child grid set with EnableHover="false", but the hovering feature is still enabled for the child.  If I set EnableHover="false" on the parent, then both the parent and child have hovering disabled. I only want to disable the hovering on the child grid.
