Grid sends two requests to external API(using URL Adaptor) when a Datepicker is used as a FilterTemplate

I have a grid which uses a URL Adaptor for data fetching and I am trying to use a Datepicker as a FilterTemplate. When the value of the DatePicker changes I trigger the FilterByColumnAsync(field,operator,value) method and I notice that two identical requests are send to the API instead of one so I think this might be bug.
