After selecting the filtered list item, duplicate item added to the popup.

Replication procedure:
Run the attached sample. (Contact Shriram for crendetial)
Open the DropDownList and type "Sol"
Then select the value "Solara Sky pvt ltd".
Then close the popup and open the popup again.
Again search the item "Sol" and select "Solara sky pvt ltd".
We can see duplicate item added in the popup.
