Setting RibbonTab Visibility to Collapsed doesn't work as expected

Setting Visibility.Visible = Visibility.Collapesd on RibbonTab in XAML doesn't seem to have any effect (the tab is still visible). 

Setting visibility in code-behind at runtime works but, when you select any other visible tab, the collapsed tab appears again.
