Browser tab becomes unresponsive after AccumulationChart datasource refresh

The AccumulationChart control freeze the tab under certains conditions after a datasource refresh. This problem only occurs when the chart has a serie with a dataLabel, and the control size is not too big (100px in this example).

This bug appeared between versions 18.1.0.42 and 18.2.0.44 and is still present in 19.2.0.55. It might be related to this bugfix: "#271120 - Data labels are displayed even when its y value is zero issue has been fixed." in version 18.1.0.44.

You can find an html page in the attached zip, you just need to have an "ej2.min.js" in the same folder to run this example. The freeze usually occurs within a few seconds and at most 1-2 minutes.


Tested on different computer with:

Firefox: 71.0b3 (64 bits)

Chrome: Version 92.0.4515.107 (Official build) (64 bits)

Edge: Version 92.0.902.62 (Official build) (64 bits)
