DataGrid row edit required -type of validation message appears for dropdown list even though value is selected

The issue can be replicated using this example: https://stackblitz.com/edit/vh2yi8

Steps:

  1. Click "Add" button in the header of the datagrid. (New row editor appears)
  2. Choose a value in the dropdown list.
-> There is a validation error message "This field is required" in red.

Expectation is that as a value is selected in the dropdown list, there should not be any validation error message for the user.
