Unable to select multiple cells using known keyboard shortcuts

1.  unable to select multiple cells (row/column) by hitting  Shift + Arrow method from key board
2. unable to select entire cells by Ctrl A method
3. unable to select multiple cells by Ctrl & click on the cells method
Expected result : cells should got selected
Actual result : not getting selected and unable to select multiple rows/columns. Only getting selected when click & drag or shift & click
