Support needed to obtain upload percentage in a chunked upload for global progress bar

The File Upload component has a built-in progress bar with the percentage of the upload being shown, I would like to be able to extract that percentage to build a global progress bar so I can allow users to navigate to other areas of a form while keeping track of the upload percentage.
