Unable to set an initial value for DropDownTree via the tag helper

When I create a dropdowntree I see the 'value' option, but when I set it I get an error inside your code.  If I set it myself after everything is loaded via javascript directly then it works but no way to set the initial value via your builder.  The way I have it setup is a hack in my opinion, better to set it inside your tag helper itself.
