In these days of virtual communications it would be helpful to have self-scrolling richtext, i.e., a "teleprompter" from which an instructor or speaker could read at his own pace without having to constantly adjust what is being displayed. An inertial scroller, once started, would tend to scroll at some specific rate of change (ROC) until it reached datasource end. Keyboard controls and mouse events could simply be those required to initiate/ pause, increase/decrease ROC, toggle direction of change. Additional features might include: 1. Zooming contents. 2. Keyboard events to return to top or some intermediate point. While commercial single-purpose prompting programs do exist, such a new control would complement Syncfusion's other office functions and allow a user to have a fully integrated work environment. And there may be non-prompting uses for which those apps are not well suited.
