At least 3 competitors have a WPF Book control, but apparently Syncfusion does not. I believe there is room for improvement over the competitors' offerings, in features, documentation, and sample applications. A Book control would resemble a closed or open book, with covers, and displaying its datasource as interior pages each possessing a front and back. So, when "opened", the book appears as the back of one page beside the front of another, the order depending on the language. As several competitors include simulated page curling and flipping, that visual candy would be nice. Other possible enhancements:

  1. Provision for an optional, separate, linked Table of Contents pane and/or other Navigation .
  2. Zooming of the page's contents (with consequent page re-numbering).
  3. Both keyboard and mouse page flipping.
  4. Inherent use of any of the office datasource types Syncfusion already supports (Excel, Presentation, Pdf, Word).
  5. Saving resultant to a file (i.e., a new data type).
  6. Ability to display other common "book" types (epub, mobi, etc.) as long as an instance does not possess restrictive digital rights.

That's a lot and might be implemented over quite some time.
