Improve cell edit performance

We are not able to improve the performance of the Gantt. currently there is a lag in time when one updates the dates on large schedules, copy and paste causes a lag. One cannot select multiple cells, copy, and paste it. Overall working in the Gantt feels like the control gets stuck before it moves on, and we cannot understand what is causing this or where to begin to avoid it.
