Adaptor With HttpClient

The current implementations of the adaptors utilize XMLHttpRequest instead of the newer HttpClient.
Unfortunately, this has a lot of disadvantages for example all the HttpInterceptors do not work.

In an application that relies heavily on interceptors, this makes it almost impossible to use.
