Diagram selected items nodes value returned null

Initially, save and load the diagram. Now try to add a new node in the diagram through the drawing tool or drag and drop the node from the palette to the diagram. Select the newly added node and try to get the selected node from the selected item. In the selected item nodes count value is set as 1 but in the nodes, the array count value is set as null instead of node properties.
