Add context menu life cycle events

My project requirements require the ability to control the visibility of items in the list based on data on the the current item (file or folder) .  The events currently provided do not offer this ability from what I can tell.  I need access to the beforeOpen event of the context menu.  It would be great if the file manager item that the context menu is opening on was passed in as an argument.
