Show/Hide resources from Schedule but not from Database

Provide the support to display the resource's dropdown list in the editor window from Scheduler, not from the resource data source. 

For example, 

I want to schedule dozens of people in as many rooms - if ALL resources are shown simultaneously on the scheduler, it will be a huge visual mess - so the
planner 
should actually only see rooms and select people or the other way around. Note that planner should be able to see an individual schedule (for a room or a teacher) on-demand - hence my request of allowing to hide/show resources from scheduler WITHOUT actually removing them from the drop-down list.
