Sidebar Minimizes when scrolling all the way to the right and left with a treegrid

We have a control page that has an expandable sidebar and a treegrid. When we scroll on the horizontal scrollbar to the right and back, it automatically collapses the sidebar. Is there an event that would automatically cause this? How do we prevent the sidebar from collapsing that contains the Home icon? The values don't matter here, I just happened to take random screenshots after changing some metrics, but the behavior is the same.
