Selecting multiple rows on a Datagrid throws an error

When selecting multiple rows on a Datagrid with the mouse, the following errors occur:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'removeChild' of null at remove (webpack-internal:///./node_modules/@syncfusion/ej2-base/src/dom.js:232) at Selection.mouseUpHandler (webpack-internal:///./node_modules/@syncfusion/ej2-grids/src/grid/actions/selection.js:1848)


and 

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'getAttribute' of null at Selection.mouseUpHandler (webpack-internal:///./node_modules/@syncfusion/ej2-grids/src/grid/actions/selection.js:1858)


This error can be repeated using the Demo version of the grid at:
