Registering OnKeydown event on AutoComplete causes issues with text box input

Registering a onkeydown event on the AutoComplete control causes issues with typing text into the field. Occasionally characters seem to get deleted. You can see them briefly pop up in the text field before they get deleted.


Please see the attached example. AutoComplete page shows it working as expected, AutoComplete Broken page shows the control appears to be conflicting with something.
