Missing ContextMenuItemBeforeOpen on Blazor Grids

According to ... Events in Blazor Grid component the event

contextMenuOpen hasn't been implemented in 17.2.*

We really could do with this or an alternative to choose what context menu items to display.
Our customer is finding the current workaround of showing all possible options when opening the context menu then being told in an alert when clicked that it can't do a particular action 'jarring', we would much rather just not offer the action if it can't be done.
