I was looking for a calendar view that iOS offers, where you could see in a full view the scrolling list of months, month after month without selecting the year. Telerik has something like that on iOS and it's called Flow.
When is needed, IMO:
- when apps need a popup to select a month, a range, or multiple dates. it will look gorgeous on iOS. from UI/UX perspective it's arguably better than any other way: a clear full view of months one could easily navigate through, therefore no need for a small popup with a shady background; it removes the need for the yearly view mode which, by the way, it's rather ugly.
- when apps also need to have a custom overview or events/appointment across a span or time longer than a month.
- it provides UI flexibility, making the calendar a good candidate for other scenarios than the standard/established ones
You'd be the first in the market to offer that view mode across all platforms. :)
I hope to see it implemented.
Thanks
