Insert Link Not Working in Some Android OS

PS: This is happening in Android when "SetSoftInputMode" as per setup instruction.

Keyboard does not work when adding URL to Insert Links in some version of Android.


If the "SetSoftInputMode" is removed everything seems to work fine.

Is it necessary to invoke the "SetSoftInputMode"


The version of Android OS where this can be reproduced are:

Samsung Note 4 - with Model SM-N910H , OS Version 6.0.1

Huawei P20 , OS Version 9.1.0.

Nexus 7, Android 6.0.1

Please guide.
