PdfViewer Handwritten Signature not being saved on Android

I have added the pdfviewer to my Xamarin forms (v. 4.3.0.908675) project and am able to load the pdf, and sign the pdf on iOS. On Android I can also load and sign the pdf.

However, on Android the signature is never saved to the pdf file. The ink added event handler is fired on both platforms.
