[UWP] Visualization of the selected day is not updated correctly

Under UWP the visualization of the selected day is not updated / displayed correctly.


Steps to reproduce:

  • Open the attached demo solution, build and start the UWP project.
  • Select a different date than the today or the previous selected date.


Expected behavior:

  • The newly selected date should be visually highlighted immediately (in the demo solution it should be marked red)

Actual behavior:
  • The selected date is not highlighted 
  • It is highlighted after you swiped the calendar to the left or right.
