Upgrading to latest version all grids stops working

Upgraded to 

Syncfusion.EJ2.AspNet.Core  
17.3.0.29 

and I get the following error in all my grids in two different projects. If I create a new Syncfusion project with a grid I get the same errror.

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token 'var'
