Research Triangle Park, NC, November 4, 2020—Syncfusion, Inc., the developer solutions company of choice, is pleased today to announce its third update of the year to Essential Studio, a comprehensive suite of controls and tools for software development. Highlights of 2020 Volume 3 include a new suite of controls for WinUI, a new file-format library that allows Word files to be modified in Java applications, and enhancements to Syncfusion’s suite of Flutter controls.

Volume 3 enhances Syncfusion products across a variety of development platforms. Notable updates include:
New WinUI Suite
Many enterprises have older business-critical desktop applications. Thanks to WinUI, Microsoft’s new platform for building UIs that are easy to use on any Windows device, those apps can be updated with a modern appearance. Syncfusion’s WinUI suite embraces all the benefits of Microsoft’s new platform. Currently in preview, the Syncfusion WinUI toolkit contains 11 controls—including charts, grids, and gauges—and is compatible with WinUI 3 Preview 2.
New Java Word Library
Given Microsoft Word’s prominence in the workplace, the ability to create, read, and edit Word documents is an asset for any app. Syncfusion’s new Word library for Java makes it easier to add that functionality to a Java application.
With no dependency on Microsoft Office, this file-format library offers a variety of features, including mail-merge, and paragraph- and text-level formatting.
Enhanced Mobile Suites
