Syncfusion Announces Essential Studio® 2015 Volume 4

Research Triangle Park, N.C.—February 02, 2016— Syncfusion, Inc., the developer solutions company of choice, is proud to announce the release of Essential Studio® 2015 Volume 4. This release introduces a number of new features and updates across all of our supported platforms.

"This release focuses on broadening our support across a number of platforms," said Daniel Jebaraj, vice president of Syncfusion. "We have added several new controls for mobile, but we have also included major improvements to JavaScript and Universal Windows Platform as well. This release is part of our ongoing efforts to provide our customers with controls that give them more and better options across a variety of platforms."

The new Essential PDF Viewer for JavaScript frees users from dependency on additional software. This native HTML5 component allows PDFs to be viewed, enabling developers to include file-reading functionality in their web applications with more flexibility than ever before.

Xamarin.Forms sees the addition of a powerful new schedule control. The new control offers common scheduling functionalities to create and manage appointments and utilizes a gesture-friendly UI to perform common operations. Multiple layout options, including day, week, workweek, and month views, provide impressive flexibility and customization. All of this is wrapped in a UI similar to the target device’s built-in calendar, making it easier than ever for mobile applications to offer versatile and useful scheduling options to end users.

All of Syncfusion's supported platforms see the release of the Essential Presentation library, opening up new avenues of presentation design to users. Presentations can now be built by creating and manipulating SmartArt diagrams, adding and removing nodes, editing node text, and formatting individual nodes or entire SmartArt diagrams.

Universal Windows Platform support has received significant updates as well, allowing new features to be added to controls for multiple platforms simultaneously. These updates include organizational charts for the diagram control, multiple selection in the rich text box control, and annotation support for Essential PDF.

Other updates to Volume 4 include:

  • A new date range selector control for iOS, Android, and Xamarin.
  • A new spreadsheet control for ASP.NET MVC.
  • JavaScript enhancements, including support for waterfall series in the chart control and virtualization for the spreadsheet control.
  • Organizational charts for WPF.
  • New features for the Xamarin chart control.

This is the fourth volume release of Essential Studio® for 2015, capping a year of exciting updates and setting a standard for the year to come. Anyone interested in Essential Studio® 2015 Volume 4 can download a free, 30-day trial at www.syncfusion.com/downloads.
